DevOps Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Position: Devops Cloud infrastructure Engineer

Location: Owings Mills, MD

Duration : 6+ Months

Client: CAI / T Rowe Price

Duties and responsibilities:

This position is a hybrid role (engineer and infrastructure experience).  This person will work remotely (during Covid-19) but will work at Owings Mills, MD when Covid-19 lifts.  The initial duration of the assignment will be 6 months, with the possibility for extension.
 
The team is looking for a resource to support multiple teams in a DevOps role.   The resource must be familiar with cloud infrastructure engineering as well as have Java development skills.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years application maintenance on Windows server and Linux
  • 10+ years hands scripting using Shell and Python
  • 10+ years Java 1.8
  • 3+ years Spring Frameworks/Spring Boot
  • 2+ years RESTFul web services
  • 2+ years application performance monitoring (APM) using New Relic and Wily
  • 2+ years using Source code control systems such as GIT and SVN
  • 2+ years SSL/TLS certificate management for Web Applications and Web Services
  • 2+ years log monitoring using tools such as Splunk
  • 2+ years Network configuration including DNS, Load Balancing.
  • 2+ years hands on experience on AWS. This would include AWS resources configuration including IAM Policies, ELB, ECS/EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, ElastiCache, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation or VPC, ASGs
  • 2+ years Relational databases and SQL
  • 2+ years ECS or Kubernetes
  • 1+ years using automation deployment tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • 1+ years using Docker

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using vaults.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins/GitLab Pipelines
  • Experience using LDAP setup
  • Agile Methodology
  • Experience with NodeJS
